How fast did you progress?

Now I know I'm the minority coming from a 7 year snowboarding background...just now switched to skiing.
But I've been told by a lot of people I'm progressing extremely quickly. Less than a month of riding and I'm already pretty comfortable with 270's on/off and switch ups both ways.
Granted, I rollerbladed a lot this fall to get the feel for things and I really think thats what helped.
What about you?
Did you guys pick it up really fast or were there months/years of frustration?

i find it hard to believe that sarcasm wasnt picked up. in all seriousness, progression is only relative to oneself. It would be stupid for me to compare myself to, say, bobby brown. first, he lives in CO and skis around 100 days a year. I live in DC and will be lucky to hit 30. also, he has been skiing park much longer than me, doesnt have school to worry about, and has a name with great consonance. progression is how thuroughly you accomplish whatever goals you set for yourself, not how you stack up to other skiers.

i learn at my own pace, when ever im ready to try to add another spin or some grabs onto a trick ill spend the whole day just doing that.

haha i progress so slowly. Its probably though because I dont get to ski a very good park and i honestly dont really care. Yeah i would love to be able to pull 5's n shit but i play lacrosse. If i were to get hurt i'd let the team down pretty hard. I'll still try some new stuff on rials/boxes, but i'm not gonna be throwin inverts anytime soon.

The only skiing I've done this year has been at a friends house, although he has some better features than some mountains I know. I've just been having fun with no pressure and I've been doing a lot better than at actual hills.

Last time i checked progression meant getting better at something. why the fuck does it matter if its park or bc?
either way I've progressed as a skier...

i think i am progressing pretty good. i started freestyle skiing in january. by the end of the season i had. switch 180. 360. 540. backflip. 270 on. and stuff and then my buddy had a summer jib and i learned 270 out and switch ups before this season. now i have all my tricks back and i almost have lincoln loops now.
