ive never even seen the 1440. biggest ive seen is a 1260, or bio 12.

I've seen a 1440, some guy from South Dakatoa through one at MS02...I forgot his name but i wish I knew it. It was about the coolest thing ive seen. And he landed both of them perfect

i did a 900 once....the only thing bigger ive seen is a 720 by someone else...

I watched C.R. do the corked 12 at last year's Sol Fest. And don't anyone think that C.R. was the first to do the 1440, or that no one has gone bigger than that- Craig Peterson was doing them back in 1979. Old school represent!

i saw a kid throw a corked 1440 off a fairly small jump in a big air contest. after landing he was asking his friends how much he spun. deffinaly not the direction skiing should be going in my opinion.
and he flew round the world on a never ending dinnerroll...

Skiing should not be how many times you can spin! If you like to spin a lot than become a figure skater or ballarina! Cause if your throwing big spins like that thier going to be really ugly. you should try to put grabs in the spins you already know how to rather than trying to do some ugly ass big spin

You wouldn't throw a 1440 if you could? He also throws a lot of stylie tricks, but I know if I could do a 1440 I would. And it wasn't jsut a 1440, it was slightly corked.

yea true. but alomst all 1440s on vids I've seen have style even if they dont have grabs(like they go off axis and into a cool position not like figure skating style) but i totally agree with you guys too. STYLE

Skiing is about whatever the hell you feel like doing. Have you forgotten what happened last time someone decided skiing would only be about style?? I'm not saying skiing should have no style....I'm just sick of people bitchign when someone does somethign nuts and they just call it ugly adn its killing our sport and such. You have to huck something before you can start giving it style.

arialist? he wasn't trowin a quad twistin double back, it was a off axis 1440. And before that he was throwin cork 1080 luikangs, so he had plently of style. I think if any of us on here could throw a 1440 we would.

Haha I love how these things get off topic- back to the old style discussions. Anyway, I believe that Johann said that someone in Finland did an 1800, so that's the biggest spin that anyone has mentioned so far (No talking about how stylie or not it is, now!).

wow. a cork 12 is about the most amazing thing i've ever heard. that is absolutley insane. i wish i could 1080.


aerialists are doing quads now. i'm sure they could throw a double double full full, or more. which would be ::counting or fingers:: ...::and toes:: 6 full rotations in 4 flips. but dont ask me. i only train with them.

I saw MC do like 6 or 7 flips.... head to feet to head to feet - it was sooo sick.... she went for like 100 feet like that.... she was flipping really fast. and going really fast after straighting that 200 foot shoot. I thought she was dead. it was the coolest thing I have ever seen. yep

If you can throw it, throw it. I personally like style and grabs more, but big rotations take skill too. Just let people do what they want, and you do as you want. That will create some great and unique styles. All i can say now is just go ski, and kick some ass!
