Computer blue screen

any techies know what to do about this?: every time i turn on my lappy i get blue screened twice, i restart after each and then its fine until it logs off when im done, and then the story repeats. no new hardware or software or drivers installed, reimaged recently but had a really similar problem before. im running xp professional if it helps.... idk who else to really say, if you need more info just ask me. i wanna get rid of this, its pretty annoying

I didn't even know the Blue Screen still existed.

I would reccommend giving up your worldly possesions and becoming a Budhist monk... Im pretty sure thats the only way to truly beat a blue screen.

your drivers might not be installed properly or your hard drive may not be communicating correctly. atleast thats what is wrong with mine.

yo i used to get this problem all the time... check if your hard drive is loose because sometimes the computer will be able to boot off the solid state memory then when it comes time to load stuff up it cant find the hard drive and crashes itself in an attempt to save itself.

I think i had the same thing, cept i was reinstalling a mobo driver, so your sure you haven't done ANYTHING at all? if so please explain in detail then we can help

if you didn't do anything reformat is my best bet, but get what you want off of it first im not responsible for you losing any important info

xp pro tends to blue screen alot after a while. my dad ran it on an old lappy and it blue screened after like 3 months. so id suggest switchnig to macs (what i did and it rules). but DO NOT buy vista as a replacement.just take ur lappy to a profesional

Alot of blue screen problems are caused by RAM deficiencies and problems. How much RAM do you have?

it happens to me every once in a while, no real reason that im aware of. i remember it did happen really frequently when my hard drive was failing though, so you might wanna get that checked out. google the stop error code it gives you as well, it should specify the problem.

If you keep having this issue after fresh installs of XP, then you most likely have a hardware issue. I would check the RAM first. If you have more than one stick in your laptop, pull one out, and try running the computer. Then try with other. Obviously if it works with one, and not the other, then the one stick is bad. Its also a possible motherboard issue.

 your an idiot, unless his laptop has less then two gigs of ram theirs no reason not to get vista, and i doubt its an OS problem. and theres no reason to get a mac in his situation.
