is this place good all around? and hows the park? im thinkin about takin a week long break there in a few monthes.

i work there. it's a fun mountain. not too big, and also not too crowded, except for holidays.
there's a new base village, which is cool, and they just bought 8 (mabye 1 or 2 more that i didn't see) new rails. the park is an ever-changing beast, sometimes it's pretty good, other times it's icy as hell. the park is a total crapshoot. but the new flat down flat, and the long C rail should be cool this season. along with the trapazoid, and flat rails.

unless it just rained, it'll be pretty good. not vermont, but pretty good.

how are the hits? are they at least 20 0r 30 feet long? and do you guys have a variety of things, like tables, step downs, step ups, and hips?

the hits are medium sized. i honestly can't tell you much, cause i haven't been up there this season yet. i'll report back on saturday after i go skiing.

dude..i dont know where u live but jiminy is not really a place to travel a long distance to get too. its fun but there are probably better places in the same distance range, even though i have no idea where u live

oh ummm, based on last season... duh. the hits are kind of erratic. sometimes there's a killer setup, other times it's icy. generally, friday night sucks, and by sunday afternoon, it's better. the hits aren't very big, mostly because there's only one groomer who really knows what to do in the park.... but with the new rails, there's hope that times are a changin.

i really don't wanna say how big the hits are in feet, because i'm truly horrible with distances like that. they're small compared to most average vermont hits, but not that much smaller. there's usually only one or two hits in the park because of area limitations, but gap-ing rails or lunchtables is usually a good alternative.

jimeny has the fastest lift i have ever been on
i have only gone night skiin there and there park was short and clumped together should be better this year i wont be there but whatever
if they have a good park this year and they keep it open in the night jiminy will be HOT!!

sounds not too bad, the rail setup sounds like its gonna be sick. 8+ rails is really good, especially all those different ones you named. is there anywhere where building your own kicker is possible? like a clearing on the backside or something? or a remote trail?

if you bring your own shovel, you can pretty much build a kicker anywhere you want.... as long as it's not in the middle of a trail. there are usually good, small 'scoop' hits on the side of most trails. they drop off the groomed, and head back up to the trail. they're fun.

there's a good place for a kicker on skier's left of ace of spades, but that trail probably isn't open yet. it drops off to a short, steep landing.... good stuff.

just a note, this weekend the park will not be open. it's the standard decent 2 decents (north and lower glade to 360) for early season.....

Don't spend a week skiing there...drive the extra 45 minutes north and go to Mt Snow or something. Its kinda fun for a day...but I wouldnt ski there 2 days in a row.

my friends family has a vacation house nearby and he invited me. i usually ski in vermont.
