k so the hills open tomorrow so i wanna get on'er, but i just saw a little bit of rust on the edges. can i ski on'er tomorrow. it'll just be that one time thing most likely
you really shouldn't. the rust particles will go into the snow which will later melt and evaporate and put rust particles into the air which will cause global warming and ruin skiing forever.
The best thing to do is keep a cloth or old towel in your car to dry your edges after a day at the mountain. If you don't your edges will eventually start deteriorating.
yah I did a rail that was made of rust, so it seemed... I thought it would grip but it actualy slid pretty well. on your edges you dont even have to worry, just its gonna suck for gripping ice
i usually wipe down the edges on my good skis at the end of the day, but in your case, the rust should disappear pretty much once you get skiing, unless its really rusty
