do you consider yourself an audiophile? why?

i'm a geek when it comes to music, i'm all open to new music, and i'm crazy about formats/quality. i cant stand the tinny, holllow sound that cheap speakers/headphones make

i only purchase vinyl. i wont buy cds

i actually have permanent tinnitus because music is more harmonically rich at high volumes.

I heart music... a lot.  I don't think I would classify myself an audiophile, but I probably would be one if I could afford it.  For now, Ill just stick to adjusting everyone 's levels so the music actually sounds how it is supposed to.

im not an audiophile but the same time i wont listen to shit either, i try to download in V0 as a minimum and always use some decent in ear headphones.

i dont understand how people can listen to the stupid 128 tracks they buy off iTunes then listen through those shitty ipod headphones. iTunes is actually retardedly expensive when you consider there what an 1/8th of a quality of a CD or some shit.
