bumpity
I was up yesterday and immediatelly remembered why nojahojas is awesome. All the jumps are so sick and set up like true tables, nice steep landings and awesome flow. Even the rails were set up sick, I especially enjoyed the urban style dfd, fun little challenge at the bottom there. Good to see alpine's still killing it.
So, just got confirmation on Lindsay's (starlightlou's) injuries. Apparently she shattered her pelvis, punctured a lung pretty good (no word on broken ribs), and she's in an induced coma with brain contusions. Right now they're just starting to evaluate exactly what they're going to do, and letting her chill for a bit. Hope for the best guys. Give vibes.

Get well soon Lindsay.

so im guessing that the whole kangaroo/park pass never became a reality? bummer that would be soooo sweet too. those jumps look beautuful
the most recent update:
This is the latest from her dad. Very promising! All the love is working its magic!
As of this afternoon, Thursday, January 22, Lindsay’s prognosis appears a little more cheerful.
First, she had surgery yesterday and a pin (screw) was inserted to secure her sacrum. Her orthopedic surgeon said the operation went “perfectly.” He is now looking at inserting a screw in her clavicle to provide support for her use of crutches or other assistance while her pelvis and clavicle heal.
The neurosurgeon removed the metal monitoring device from her head yesterday after her sacrum surgery so they were able to do an MRI on her head and upper spine. The results showed a slipped disc in her neck which will necessitate a neck brace for 6 weeks or so but probably will not require surgery. The MRI also showed some bruising on the outside of the fibrous nerve connections between the left and right sides of the brain called the splenium of the corpus callosum. There appears to be no or very minor actual tearing. Time will tell if there is any short term memory loss or other cognitive loss but we are very optimistic about the long term outcome.
Currently they are in the process of reducing the drugs used to keep her under so she can wake up. As you know, Lindsay has always had an indominatable sprit and thus is somewhat combative as she attempts to wake up. We love it.
We feel all your love and concern as we go through this. Your prayers and thoughts have obviously been helping. We, Chalan, Constance, and I can’t really begin to thank you for your love, concern and support.
^ Good to hear! +++vibes+++ to Lindsay
Thanks for the update CJ. +K
We've been rebuilding after all the new snow. Were trying to make the landings as long as possible with long smooth takeoffs. Also trying to get them to be true step over jumps. Rails will all be reset this week. I will start pushing up Nicks this week as well. Here is a couple of pics from yesterday. Come check it out.
Also, has anybody heard anything new with Lindsay? Hope she's doing better.
Paradise Ridge... nice
I think a few of us will be up around the castle peak area tomorrow... should be nice and deep on NE faces
