digital video/camera

im looking at getting a camera that can take video, or a small video camera that can take pictures. Im only looking to spend $200 or $300. i have a hook up at soundtrack, so that amounts to a $500-$700 camera. what kind of camera would you recommend? it will mainly be used for skiing.

just keep on saving your money man.....you cant get shit for that money.....if you want a good camera its going to cost you....I would go with the sony vx2000...they shoot nice and you can add-on to them with lots of new shit easy

^ way to help. not everyone needs a $3000 camera. for $500-700 you can get a pretty good single chip cam. in that price range though sony and canon far surpas the competition.

get a digital video camera. Not one of the still cameras that can take like 30 second videos. For about 400 you can a digital 8 with more features and very near quality to the 500-600 mini dv cameras. Sony is good and so is canon.

io have the jvc grdv3000 which is a good camera and they are gowing for around 700-800$ i dont know if thats a little bit more then you want to spend but im really happy with it. i really have no need for a 3000$ 3 chip camera right now sicne im not making major movies it would be nice but the jvc does a good job.

i just bought a panasonic dv203 to replace my jvc dvl310 and i love it. It's a super small palmcorder, but it has an LED light, zoom mic and can film in 16x9. It's fucking pimp.
