this might be incredibly stupid but do canadians celebrate thanksgiving. i guess the the first tahnksgiving was in partly celebration that the explorers found north anerica so canda is in north america so i imagine that they do celebrate it

do you all canadians know about all americna holidays... veterans day memorial day, martin luther kins b-day etc... do you know french or swedish holidays? how about south african or iranian? probably not. and you only get one day off instead of 2, pretty gay.

Veteran's Day is our Remembrance Day. Alot of holidays are just called different things here.

hahaha, do we have thanksgivings day? that's the funniest thing i've heard, well 2nd funiest, i had an american ask me if we celebrate christmas, hahaha oh god i couldn't even reply i was laughing to hard, i'm sorry many many many americans are so ignorant and self absorbed they really know nothing of other peoples cultures, they learn american history in school and that's it, where as here we learn about every other country as much as our own, i'm not saying all americans are like that but all the ones i have talked to sure as hell are

Bosnians (muslim) end their Ramada tomorrow.
Bosnians celebrate Bagerohm (sp) today.

Other countries, such as Spain, Bosnia, Croatia celebrate Day of the Dead instead of hallowe'en.

We get off two for thanksgiving and then the monday cause I'm from central pa with a bunch of hicks and a whole bunch of people miss school on monday for the first day of hunting season anyways so they figure they'll just give it as off so they don't have to deal with all the 'sick' notes

Ski-hobo is mostly correct. America does do all of that, but you must remember. They take a lot of Canadian workers too. For more specialized things like the space program. Since Canada accepts so many immigrants, they have all unique and needed skills in the Tech. Department. I'm Canadian by the way, as you can probably see in my sig. Oh yeah, and America owns every single company that use to be Canadian. Bad business decisions.

I'm canadian and I sometimes celebrate american thanksgiving too...........Just so I can have more turkey dinner. Actually there's a restaurant near me that serves turkey dinner all week for canadian and american thanksgiving......... Tonight I had my second turkey dinner this week, MMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Its funny that people say Americans are ignorant about Canadian culture and all that shit....I was in montreal a few weeks ago, and a canadian told me that...so i asked him what the Canadian national sport was...after he said hockey, i corrected him by saying lacrosse...then he said in america you're much more likely to catch deadly diseases, and that Canada is much more safe and never has that shit...so I reminded him about Sars. Then he said in these exact words, 'I Guess I was wrong about Americans'. So suck on that one.
