A mutiple ski question thread.

dont get mad at my nubness. i just want some answers.
5'11, 185lbs.
i made many single answer questions, but now mi have a few.
first off i want a twin tip that somewhat stiff for riding groomers, but that will also have a decent flex in the park. it would also be good if this ski was symmetrical, or very close. i had these skis in mind:
rossi scratch ghetto/ s2 jago
atomic urban/punx
volkl ledge/wall
fischer addict/pro

havent heard much about the rossi's, and i want a to know more about the urban punx. there's a shop on ebay near my house selling a pair for like 300$. as for the volkl, someone previously told me that the ledge would be super flexy for my size, and that i should go to the wall, even though its a shitload more cash. the addict pro is supposed to be stuff, good for jumps and pipe, and the addict is just more flexible.
so my question is what do you guys think of the skis mentioned for good all around skiing, both park and groomers. the reason they're symmetrical is cuz i want to do switch tricks and shizz like that.

Armada AR6 181 length excelllent all mtn, harpack & park & pipe. Smooth predictable. Finesse

 The Volkls are also good and they are stiffer in my findings - Bridge, Wall , Ledge - tougher not as forgiving

Don't know enough about the others. Heard Rossi may be for lighter riders and not the best on the harpack - but I didn't ride them.

i'm afraid of having a super soft ski that will make me washout on landings, which is why i mentioned the ledge. but i've heard its noodly too.

You have a lot of options - you're my size.  I think either the Chronic or the Wall/Bridge would be perfect for you, because you're a bigger guy and will need a stiffer ski.  Both still flex, both are pretty symmetrical, and both are wicked dope.

I got the scratch ghetto's and I've only got one day in so far but they were super sick, perfect amount of flex (I weigh 200lb's though), super stable on the landings, super light, and they look like they'll be durable I worked them pretty hard no serious damage. 

Chronic looks sick though if you can afford this years.

The 183 STL or the 180 TNK sounds like it would be perfect for you. Solid enough flex for groomers while enough give for good park riding. Great skis. PM if you want a hook up on the gear.

if u want a really stiff ski go with pipe cleaners there dope i have a freind who is 6'2 200 and he has a hard time doing butters with them he also races with the school team on them

The older line blend would be a pretty dope ski too (the ones that 90 at the waist) I have them now and they're totally legit

Trying not to hijack your thread here, but I am actually looking for something very similar... I'm 184 (which is about 4cm taller than you if I got it right) and currently weigh about 73-74kg, which is about 9-10kg less than what you weigh...

I'm looking to get last year's ski's just because I cant afford this season's, and have been looking around online. Can get pipe cleaners mounted for as little as 409€, ski's being 299€... but also found 176 AR6 for 290 and 181 AR6 for 339€. I'd probably get a deal with bindings included that isnt as good but lets not think of that right now. Basically, Ive been told the pipe cleaner is an AR6 with a faster base, probably has an assymetrical flex (less flex at the back) but I'm wondering if theyre not too stiff for me to take my first steps in freestyle on. How much more flexible are AR6s ? What about Chronics or some other Line ski? I've sadly not found any of those online yet (only been available in Europe for like 1 year from what I heard) so they might be out of the question either way...

Just trying to get the absolute best ski for the best price, which is hard, but doesnt hurt to try

I don't know if evogear ships outside US but you can still get scratch ghettos there for $200, thats what I went for because it was like the only park ski I could find at outlet price that they still had 181's in stock.

Got my second day on them today and they're still sick, hit some bigger jumps and they still stomped nicely, landing switch on them was real smooth as well I really like the nose flex.  Not too buttery but pretty forgiving.  They are pretty stiff for jibs though but not too bad.  Hit some groomers today too and they worked really well although they did chatter just a tiny bit at high speeds.

I actually pretty much made up my mind, will be ordering 08 anthems with marker griffons :)

probably getting them mounted completely centered, as theyre symmetrical and I dont think I'll be skiing a whole lot of pow... unless someone can come up with a reason to mount them a little back after all
