Photoshop Help pleaaaase.

SO, i started revamping all my icons to make them all look like the CS3 icons but in different colours.

Annnnd i started with itunes, and after about an hour of trying different things, searching on google etc… i can't figure what the hell is wrong.

To change icons on a mac you right click and do "get info" on the icon you wanna change, and the icon you want to change it to. ie. Itunes and a .psd, .jpg etc.. file. You then click the smaller picture, and do ccmd c, and click the one you want to change, and cmmd v to paste

so heres whats happening. i have my one file, and the preview suggests that it wont have the white border, but it does when i copy it. i hate it.

Is the white from your background? Save it as a .gif maybe?

Man i don't get it. I've tried making the background transparent, exporting a transparent file, deleting the background altogether. I'll try .gif though.

is the dimensions correct for it? maybe itunes wants it to be 10pixels bigger?(width of the white)

So I totally bit your idea and did my own. This is how they turned out. Did you make sure your icons fit the entire canvas? I didnt have any problems with mine.

sick dude. yeah well the way i made it i made the icons have a drop shadow like most icons do. so the icon didn't fit the whole screen but had a transparent background, and was saved as transparent.

I'm assuming you just made them with no drop shadow?

i think id find that kind of annoying, but it looks really sick
not sure how to help for your problem though connor, all i can say is maybe increase it by like 10 pi like someone suggested, maybe try a gif like you said

Yep I had it fit the full screen, I still applied the drop shadow, but it turns out you don't need it. Wherever you stick the icon, it gives it a drop automatically. Check it:
