Rossi/Look/Dynastar bindings= Fucking Gayness!!

I have a pair of Look PX12's that I paid a hundred and fifty USD for... sounds reasonable except for replacement brakes go for fifty bucks and I have gone through my second set in the last year and a half and almost lost a ski if it wasn't for a helpful snow boarder that got speared in the chest! all because the main thing that holds them to the binding is one screw and plastic. The older models were connected by metal under the frame so if they got messed up you could bend them back and make them work. Fuck You!! Rossignol/Dynastar/Look. Eat My Ass.

That's why the only binding I really trust are the turn table race stock FKS 155s.

well just don't suck and ski everything away... its way easier than losing a ski and making the brake do work...

Truth, but I am interested in the new Mojo's, Deadbolts, and STH bindings.  They all use a metal bolt that goes from screw to ski.  They look solid.

STH's have one screw and two iron pins that hook into the binding.

However, if you release switch with your weight on it, they still release.

Only the fks ones held up in my years.

But you can also just buy a 9-20 salomon binding. Set them to 20, and your breaks will hold up forever,

im so very glad i was able to get my hands on a pair because last season i went through at least 700$ in bindings and brakes alone. i have a small box full of broken pieces of shit bindings from rossi/look/dynastar. i cant afford to go through bindings like that. i have 3 different bindings on my bacons because my heel/toe pieces kept exploding, and fuck the brakes i dont even know how much i have spent on replacement brakes that only last the weekend. if anything grinds my gears it is those bindings.

I have the Rossi axial 120s and they are bombproof. Granted im a small guy at 135lbs but ive never had any problems with these.

Buriedbyleaves is probably right even though he was just trying to be a dick... Also I have gone to three or four shops in summit county and they all want the same price.If it costs a shop roughly $12 for a brake and they mark them up 100 percent you have 50 bucks a pair. the amount of money we all spend on ski equipment is already really high. it is really fucked up to get jewed on such a common problem with the already expensive bindings. I also don't know anyone who puts 60 plus days in the park that hasn't had similar problems with brakes. and alll my homies crank thier din.

^ from what ive found there is no decent ski shop in all of summit county as well as CO in general. Including colorado freeskier. All of them are unreliable pussies that dont know shit about what they're talking about.  There is no shop within 100 miles of summit that will consider mounting fks anymore. One guy said yeah sure i can bend your brakes, then im mounting them after he failed to bend them except for one side, and the whole binding falls apart in my hand. I figured out how to put it back together in 30 seconds...what a genious huh. Fuck ski shops in CO, for being "the" place to ski in america its really lacking in a good shop. And the only good shop there is, is all the way in boulder...real close to the mountains...and doens't mount, which i understand.

Somebody start a shop in summit that doesn't sell seth pistols, marker bindings and oakley goggles to every 30yo gaper that walks in the door. and isn't too much of a puss or gape to mount a real binding.

Wide brakes are expensive for shops to purchase as well.  Like 2x the cost of stock width ones.

yes fuck those brakes dude. ive had my brakes spring off at least 5 times and luckily ive been able to bend the clamps back but the last time the whole metal plate just snapped. they are such pieces of shit who the fuck would make a freestyle binding that wont hold up under freestyle conditions.

I'm the same way, but my brake is somehow sticking out 90 degrees even though I never released today. And now I have to risk snapping the baseplate because I don't want to pull the binding off to fix the brake properly.
