cab is short for cabelero, who is a professional skateboarder. He was the first person to do a thing we call cab. he would come up in the halfpipe and do a switch fronside 360 back to forward. This is known as a cab. So as you can see you can not simply call anything switch, a cab. it has to be a switch frontside spin. As you may have noticed skiers do not have a frontside or a backside so they cannot perform a the trick called cab. any questions?
