Definitely better at snowboarding, been doing it for 9 years versus about 2 months of skiing. The progression of skiing feels alot more natural to me though, I'm pretty sure I'll be better at skiing by the end of the year, at least jumping wise.
skiing is way more natural, but i've been doing it for 18+ years and have only snowboarded 2 or 3. usually there are a few times each season that I switch with a snowboard friend for the day or just a couple runs. its hilarious
Both are quite natural for me. I have 15 years of ski experience vs maybe 4 of snowboard, and therefore feel alot more comfortable on skis.
However I found that my snowboarding skills increased much faster than my skiing ones did, but I learned to ski at a much younger age so that probably has alot to do with it.
Same thing here, I went from not being able to ski to hittin up Big Sky in a month, I think it's just a matter of already having a sense for balance and everything
I am much much better at skiing, and more natural since I have been doing it since I was a child.
Only started snowboarding as a teen when the snow conditions were shithouse. Some days now though i switch between morning and arvo from skiing to snowboarding or the other way round.
Would rather ski any day though, except when the snow is shit of course....
skiing feels way more natural for me, but i havent snowboarded nearly as much. i also learned snowboarding later, and it seems like i learned the basics a lot fast than in skiing because i was older. its fun to switch back and forth though
I am better at skiing, i can only carve on snowboardrs down greens, anything harder, such as a bluew, i falling leaf down, although i have only done two days snowboarding, so it doesnt really count.
Ive been skiing for 18 years and snowboarded for 2. so yea definitely more comfortable with skiing. When I tried out snowboarding about 8 years ago it just didnt have the same fun factor that skiing did so I switched back
I am a whole lot better at skiing than boarding but thats just cuz ive been doing it much longer. I tried snowboarding back in the day when i was like 8 a few times and totally sucked but now that ive been trying it again i progressed soooo much quicker. skiing is still way more fun though.
I've been snowboarding for about 11 years, this is my 4th year skiing.
Style wise, I have much smoother riding and better style on my snowboard. I don't hit the park much at all with it though. I can shred harder on my skis, like ripping down trails. My technique and style is horrible, and I can throw shit in the park but it's messy. But hey, what can you expect from someone who is self taught and still somewhat new to it.
I've been skiing since I was 3, but I just started boarding last year... I surf and skate a bit so boarding is pretty easy. Never gone out on a pow day but park tricks come pretty easy, had 3's both ways the third day on a board, I've been probably 10 times now. This year I wanna try some pow and maybe some rail trickery
i do the same thing. i can totally carve on a snowboard! this kid i know got super pissed at me cause he has been snowboarding for 9 years and cant carve and i figured out how my first day.
tricks on snowboards come more naturally for me. but thats probably because i skate a lot.. but just cruisin around skiing feels a lot better and i like skiing a lot more and i still pick up the tricks fast enough
i suck major balls at snowboaring.
cant go down a green.
but i have played ice hockey for 14 out of my 16 years alive. so skiing was second nature the 1st time i did it.
Id rather SKI, & Skiing is more natural to me but not gonna lie snowboarding is alot of fun too. I ski with alot of boarders so it is always fun to be able to switch back and forth. Powder days with a board are alot of fun!
im better at snowboarding... its way easier.. but i just started skiing last year and i seem to progress much faster... I think its because i kinda already am comfortable on certain features so there is much less fear involved when im learning a new rail, jump or trick.
