K2 Public Enemy question???

I just rode my brand new Public Enemys today (05/06 model) for the first time, and i got to say, im pretty impressed. they're solid skis.
just one question for you guys, after a few runs i looked at my skis on the lift, and the top sheet on the edges was sort of chipping off. but they weren't solid chips, it was more like thin layers would come off just above the edges. it's a P-Tex topsheet so can be pretty soft.
ive never owned a pair of skis before so i dont know about this, but is this normal?

yes that's very normal for a ski to have minor topsheet damage... and, i think the year that you have were especially prone to that for some reason.

yeah you just want to make sure that if you get any deep chips where you can see the wood or anything that you get that fixed asap so water doesn't get in and delaminate

^^ mix up some marine grade epoxy and cover your wood (no homo) and let sit for a while, usual is around 24 hours for a full set, it may not look pretty but it will keep water out

on my invaders i just slapped some gorilla glue on there and filed it down. worked great. and i had that same year public enemies, the topsheet sucked because it was so soft, peeled like a bitch. you can try filing down the topsheet on the edges so your edges dont dig in as much.
