President-elect Obama is not in favor of the legalization of marijuana.

for those who are unaware. a few days ago obama's team was "open for questions" on their website. people could ask any question they wanted to ask obama and people were given the choice to vote on what questions they wanted to hear obama answer. the #1 rated question was about the legalization of marijuana and the thread title is his response.  frankly, i am upset at this answer as it does not give any reasoning behind it.  hopefully there will be a better answer from him after the next open for questions event is held.  im going to smoke a bowl now just to spite obama. and to get high. oh and im encouraging everybody to participate in the next open for questions. peace.

haha i would do the same if they were the hemp plant. cannabis sativa/indica are the kind that get you high. cannabis ruteralis is the ditch weed that is extremely fibrous. try saving the pollen sacks from males and cross breeding them with a female of a different strain...

yeah and you are given a green card at doctors recommendation. its what you show the people at the dispensaries so they know they can buy it. if you go to a doctor who is pro pot and its not very hard to get that recommendation because it cures such a wide variety of ailments. from nausea to anxiety to that guy in the wheelchair in "the Uninon" documentary. it just does so much.

and its only organized crime because of the federal legalities. take that away and you are left with organized growers.

haha its funny you say wiki is credible. but seriously, "the emperor wears no clothes", go read it. its hard to get any credible information when the government has the wool pulled over everyones eyes.

here is hemp for victory, a documentary made by the US gov. it saved us in WWII. and by it i do mean hemp.

you don't have to cite prop 215 to me, I live in California and have a medical card. I'm not sure what exactly you mean by federal legalities having anything to do with organized crime. Cannabis dispensaries are legal under California law. Organized crime take control of them because they are highly profitable, and give them a perfect method of distributing their product legally and for top dollar. Not quite your flowery picture of organized friendly growers is it? The hippies up in Ukiah guard their fields with AKs.

Why do you think dispensaries are still illegal in Oregon despite having legalized medical mj?

Winner. I would be pissed if Oregon had them anyways, mostly because prices would get driven up insanely fast.

As far as Obama, he can't publicly say he wants to legalize weed. His career would be completely in check if he did and he would seem very irresponsible and extremely liberal by many people he needs the support of.

P.S. California - your "club weed" still isn't better than any good Oregon weed

by that i meant the growers who grow for the clubs. no doubt there is crime along side but thats what happens when its been shunned for so long. and i wasnt throwing the prop 215 at you, more so everyone can read it.

That can vary for sure, I've smoked a good deal of both Oregon and California club weed. While Oregon weed is consistently good and cheaper, there is insanely good club weed but its real pricey. Good club edibles are where its at, 3-4 hours of being high for 6 bucks, and I mean really high.

lol the people I described are the ones who grow for the clubs, that's where the most money is involved.

I believe marijuana dispensaries should all be controlled by the state government, all the profits should take the form of taxes. California needs that tax revenue right now.

I've definitely heard good things about edibles from Cali, I'm just tired of all these Bay Area bitches running around Oregon talking down local weed because its not from a club. Sorry I pay $20 for a 1.8 satchel and get just as high as you do for $30-40 of "club weed" that weighs in significantly less. It's just frustrating.

I can get a quarter of sour diesel for 75 bucks at the club i go to. It really all depends on which one you go to. Most of them are somewhat expensive but the one i got to, the most expensive eighth of chronic is 45. and most expensive quarter is 90 and you can get really cheap quarters for like 50 too if you want of not high grade shit. Also you probably get club weed from your dealers way more expensive than club price because, they need to make profit so thats why its that much more expensive.

And so called "club dealers" may not even be selling off the high grade stuff. They may say it is, but they're really just selling the budget bag shit in the high grade container and keeping the good shit for themselves.
