I'm hittin it up this weekend and was wondering how it is and possibly if anyone's going so i dont have to ski alone haha.

Theres a couple local crews that ride there plus a few loners.. On a Saturday someone will be there, they just probably dont have NS.  Worse comes to worse youll be shredding with some 10 year olds that throw down.

Just got back. Cold as fuckkkkkkk. The park setup was pretty nice though. The entire way down there was park on the right side which is nice. Their table top kicker is perfect. They dont have all the sick boxes out quite yet but i hear they come up after christmas or something.

Haha but yeah you werent kidding when there were lil kids throwin down. Saw some kids probably around 12 or so doin back flips, switch 5's n shit. they were off kinda small jumps but still.

Yep those are the kids...

There were a ton of boxes and rails up a few weeks ago, I dont know what happened.

So I went to Granite Peak two days ago..... DEFINITLY SUPER LEGIT PARKS!!

They had FIVE parks up!  Yes FIVE!

biggest park they had some tough rails, two huge jumps, and one of those little jumps to big block of snow you ski across the top and then catch big air off the end things

natural park with tree jibs and more rails, boxes, and smaller jumps

beginner park with two tiny jumps, lots of flat easy rails and boxes, and this sick roller line that is fun to air plus a fun jump at the end

another park with mid sized rials and boxes and jumps

last park has a good 30 some rails, THE BEST HIP I HAVE HIT IN WISCONSIN TO DATE, and two other mid sized jumps..

I'm guessing around 80 jibs, rails, boxes all together and 15 differnt jumps..


Legit!  expensive but check it out

Rail Jam / Big Air Competition, Sponsored by Shepherd & Schaller      1-10-09
Registration starts at 9:00 (lower level Historic Chalet) Competition starts 11:30.
Divisions:
15-under: Prizes for Top 3
16-over: Prizes for Top 3
Open Class: $10 entry fee. All fees paid out to winners.

Anybody else gunna be there?  Was alot of fun last year

P.S. thumbs up to the G Peak park crew! 4 parks and they all are great

Hey Charr-some number I forgot,

I was planning on being there, but I'm headed down to the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico to surf, skate, film, take photos, and study for school for a few weeks and I have to leave today.

On another note, did you see that GP is hosting a few of the Midwest Best USASA series slopestyles?? When I was little I competed in the USASA and had to drive down to Tyrol.  Then when I finally move away they switch them to my home hill....... grrrrrrrrr :)

yeah I took second in the 16 and over big air. Im really hoping they are going to hold it on the 40 footer and not one of the small jumps in the rail yard like they did last year...

I heard that but I also heard to compete you have to be a member and its costs 70 dollars just to do that... Is that right?

Yeah it does cost some money for a USASA membership or you can pay a lot less for just a day membership but if you go to the comps and do well, you can qualify for nationals out west which is a lot of fun and a great competition experience.  If you have the money its a lot of fun to do all of it

I'm going there this saturday the 24th hope i see people there i love those 2 jumps they had i was doing nice sick 7's off the smaller like 25 ft one and 7's off the 40 ft one also tried a b-flip over the barrel but completely ate it :)
