I had an epic failure last time I made this thread bc i was drunk but just wondering if the 08 bacons are the same as the 09.

well, everyone on here says that there's no change except for the topsheet... but, i heard someone say that they talked to a line rep who said that the 09s are a tad stiffer. I have 09 bacons and i really like them... not too stiff or too soft, kinda on the medium-soft side. hope that helps

Additionally, the recommended mount line is now -6 from center. It used to be 2.5 back if memory serves me right.

which threw me for a loop when i went to mount mine. i remember everyone saying recommended was 2.5 back and i set up the jig and was like man, thats far back.

i heard the same thing about them being a touch stiffer as well, but i heard it was more torsionally?

i have an 07 bacon and i just measured it and the line is -6 from recommended
also they aren't stiffer, the 09's are exactly the same ski just different materials to be more durable than the 07 and with new graphics
same ski, they'll change them next year but i'm not allowed to say what....................................................

i just got mine mounted today
skiing by friday.


i got em at -3 from true +3 from rec.


i figured that that seemed like the perfect mount
i measured 6cm back also

I just got mine and measured 178 cm, tip to tail, not 182.  180 cm if you count the curve in tips and tail.  As for mounting, the rec. is 6 cm back on mine.  I'm 140, 5'9" and will ski alot of all-mountain/park, with EC pow days and a rare trip to ski big-mountain.  Ski switch alot too, so I was thinking -2 from true center.  Too far forward or back, considering my stats?

id recommend -3 form true +3 from line.


they rode great in powder and fine switch and everywhere else


id go 3 back for pow/allmountain/ park.

they landed switch in pow fine too
