that kinda sucks, at least he'll be set for Dew Tour at Mount Snow... my friend just broke his collar bone and the doc says 6-8 weeks full recovery but about half the time before he'll be out riding again just slowly though

Well it's not always that intentional. Like a hockey stop it can just be a quick way to kill speed or stop a run...but yes, similar to a "scorpion" in snowboarding, it can fuck up your day real fast.
