The Day the Earth Stood Still = worst?

I saw this movie last night, and it was possibly the worst thing I have ever sat through. It was like Independance Day (great movie) Al Gore style or something like that. If you get a chance to watch it, dont.

The whole thing was like "PEOPLE ARE RUINING THE EARTH! STOP! GET THE MESSAGE FROM THIS MOVIE AND APPLY IT TO REAL LIFE!"

Ahhhhhhhh, and I was really looking forward to it. The last 30/40 minutes could have been changed significantly and it would've been a much better movie.

it wasn't as bad as the commercials made it seem. i kinda liked it but i thought it was too short and the ending ended too quickly. you have to take into account that its a sci fi film, not a day after tomorrow film.

That's exactly what i said after watching it!

I'm tired of all these "omg, end of the world!" movies. Some of them are some what good, but this one was just weird. And it was way too clear that it was telling us that we are ruining the earth.

Keanu Reeves is one of my least favorite actors too, his face looks the same all the time. How about actually getting into the role for once? He did the same thing in matrix too. I mean, the kid played his role better, and how old was he? 10?

The kid was a decent actor but his role sucked. "He's different, kill him. Obviously that's the only reasonable course of action". He served no other purpose than as a plot tool, except at the end where he seemed kinda legit I guess...

hahah yea word keanu reeves is the bottom scrapings of hollywood to me, hes such a terrible actor. hes only good at playing the roles of robots and artificial intelligence beings.
