Help me with buying a new computer

i don't know shit about computers so

this seems like it has very good specs for the money, but some reviews complain about fan noise. would replacing the fan reduce the noise?

be compatible?

I don't see a firewire port, how should i go about adding that?

i also may want to add a soundcard cause i'm gonna get decent speakers. don't know what difference it would make, but what should i be looking at?

also would choosing xp over vista be good? i'm using xp right now and have no complaints. the only vista systems i've used so far only have 2gb ram at most, so it was pretty slow. but 4gb is suppose to be sufficient.

Computers good stuff. More than enough power to keep you going for awhile.

For the graphics cards, what are you gonna be using the computer for? unless you are going to be gaming or editing, it really wouldnt be necessary.

Don't get the 50 dollar graphic card though it sucks, the other ones pretty nice.

Sound Card? I would think the onboard one would be fine, but I usually use headphones my self, so I'm not sure.

Keep vista (its hated on so much the passion of Christ needs a sequel.) haha... I have it, its good, the computer is more than powerful enough for it.

what about the fan noise? can it be remedied
and people wrote that there's not enough power supply, is it necessary to upgrade?

how many watts is the power supply? becuase it might not be enough to power that 9800 GT, that's 2 8800's put into one card, and needs alot of power

computers seem good... graphic cards all depend on what you will use it for.

As far as xp vs vista.... choose xp all the way, even microsoft doesn't like vista they are probably doing away with it for future models... i've used em both and like xp but hate vista... personally i like macs but thats just me.....
