Painting goggles

im thinking of painting some goggles and am looking for any ideas. Ill probably just take out the lens and panters tape them and then use model paint to do it. anybody have any experience or tips for this ?

also any design ideas are welcome. im thinking of trying to make something similar to this:

its for a lax head but basically should work the same, just ill be using regular paint instead of the dye.

I would try using Krylon multi-purpose or plastic stuff. Spray cans will make coating more even as long as you remember to use proper technique keeping the can 8 or so inches away and keep it moving at all times remembering that multiple thin coats is better than few thick coats. If you want to keep it looking smooth for a while try using Krylon's clear coat after you're done it'll keep it shiny for a long time.

http://www.krylon.com/products/ you'll find everything you need here. And krylon is pretty good stuff i interned at sherwin-williams this summer (they own krylon) and you can trust this stuff to work very well.

And as for designs...spiral? checks? fade? Be crazy yo!

yeah i mean id wanna use spray paint but i also feel like it woul fuck up the foam and thats way more important in the long run.

i was also thinking of just doin a huge drip pattern like on the new anon figments. where it basically just has a paint splatter offset on one side with the crazy little drips and lines that go with it, it would be hard to do and kinda chancey to just do it once, but i think it would be dope.

o yea...forgot about foam...my bad. Pick up a roll of 3m painters tape and carefully put like 2 layers on the foam being sure you're right up against the edge of the goggle and that should effectively prevent foam damage as long as you're sure you take it off very carefully.
