haha ya man im already rockin the jjs this winter tho. but just outta curiosity does anyone know how stiff they are and if they have major flex points?

they havn't even shipped to dealers yet.

they will next week some time.

just get a pair if you're thinking about it, and if your sketch, wait a few weeks for people to ski them (such as myself)  and then mount them.  or sell them for the same amount.  they only made 40 pairs, so resale on them if they are dope will be through the roof.

i plan on keeping mine as my every day ski.

will let you know as soon as they role in.

so my bent_chetletrs rolled in today.  which means they should have showed up at other shops too.  I would post pics, but there are enough pics of these on the web.  the graphics POP! though.

they have a lot of camber under foot, and also more rockers than the jjs did this year.  they feel very soft, just a step above the hell bents. but stiffer under foot for sure.  the swing weight is also pretty low on them.  stoked to say the least.  I'm going to pm chris to see where he mounted his, because the tails are sorta soft and i might mount them further back so they ski a bit stiffer.

probly ski them in the next two weeks.  for those of you looking for a ski a tad stiffer than hellbents, order up.

mine came in i have not ridden them yet but they are not even comparable to the
hellbent it is so much stiffer. hellbents are noodles, these look like they will go through what ever you throw at it.

i can post pics if people are interested of the rocker, camber so people can get a better look and feel of the ski.

so i caught a few glimpses of them at my local hill and they looked like the same construction as the jjs. capped, with sidewalls underfoot. any one confirm?

it's alsmost like the jj.  they run a 3 step sidewall under foot, and a thinner sidewall in the tip and tail.

atomic makes the jj for armada, so there is some technology swapping going on.  i've been riding them for 2 weeks now, and they are the shit.  they kill everything but moguls.  i skied 9 inches of concrete thick snow the other day, and they handled it like champagne pow.

for a ski i wasn't sure i was going to keep, they've become my favorite.  edge well, slay pow, no hooking at all in soft snow, amazing for trees, no wheelies after landing sketch drops at all.  pretty much i'm stoked.  the camber under foot, combined with the early taper makes these a bomb ski.  i like them better every time.

after talking to benchetler on pms, i mounted mind 2.5 cm back.
  i skied the chopsticks for a month at 5 back, and realized i was getting wheelies on landings.  at 2.5 back on the bents, i get no wheelie action, but can't drive as hard in chopped up snow.  stomping big cliffs is more important to me, so i mounted forward.  if you ski and don't huck, mount back.  if you like to get gnarsty and go large, go forward.  it has nothing to do with switch skiing, just stability where you need it.

DUDE THESE SKIS ARE AWESOME!

i demoed them up at whistler a few weeks back, they were so good no matter where i took them!

we had a mixture of slush in the lower levels, hard packed up top and some fresh pow in the trees.
these skis rocked it everywhere i went, totally satisfied... they made 4 inches of pow seem more like 10 and they plowed through the crud really nicely

they feel a lot shorter than they actually are (cause of the rocker) and they're pretty poppy and playful

all around excellent ski, im definitely getting a pair next year!!

also, they are fairly stiff and have regular camber underfoot. they totally rocked the groomers, great ripping ski too!

they're fantastic skis
a little on the heavy side i suppose, but that's kind of given with their size
they ski great in all conditions that i've encountered... haven't skied ice on them though...

i got these back in January, and had about 15 days on them in japan during feb. these things are amazing, they are heaps of fun everywhere, specially in the trees and it really playful and poppy. on groomers there not the best ski, but the handle very well, but they still perform very well with only a couple of centimeters on top, overall very fun, playful ski

i mounted mine 2.5cm back from centre with griffons and work a treat, i read somewhere that chris mounts 2cm back for those people wondering.

oh and the top sheets and bases are indestructible, hit heaps of logs and stuff and only have minor scratches on the bases, and just minor scratches on the top sheets as well. bomber construction.

wrongg. they have a camber and a ROCKER. if you had any idea what a camber was you wouldnt of said that. a normal ski has a regular camber.

look at it with your head tipped to the right.

havent skied them yet, but everywhere i hear people saying "they ski like the jj´s on steroids"
ive also spoken to a guy who said he regrets having gotten the jj´s as he tried the bent chetlers. i wanna get them really badly and i heard nothing but good about them.
i´d go for it

im not that of a pro, but i guess, that both are a bit too long for you. atleast if you wanna take em back country, for big lines in AK that lentgh would be ok for you, but they are 15 cm taller than you. i think that they will both be a bit heavy for you. maybe try some at the lentgh of 175.
