This HBO special is the dope sauce. The mini series follows Saddam Hussein's rise to power, his reign and his subsequent fall. It paints the leader as a cold ass motherfucker but yet a political genius. ++++Karma to this mini series.

ya i only saw like 10 minutes of part one, but it was pretty badass. I don't know how historically accurate it is, but it seems like its pretty spot on

just the way he used violence as a tool was evil but it kept him in power.

And supposedly the show is pretty spot on historically. although some people claim that it downplays the americans influence in his rise to power and armament
