PARTY AND RISK SKIING??????

As you may have heard, there's a huge storm coming to the Northwest supposed to drop tons of snow friday night. So ill just go to my cabin across the mountains after school and be fine to catch some great pow right? NO, theres a huge party on friday that i really don't want to miss. Lots of girls, lots of weed, and i have tons of booze. If i try to go saturday morning i run the risk of not being able to ski due to the passes closing. SO- SHOULD I GO TO THE PARTY?

But seriously, is the first epic storm of the season worth missing for a party that will probably happen again pretty soon?

Think of people rubbing in your face the epic pow that they scored while you were hungover and longing to get out there. Think of missing the first weekend of real skiing.

Then think of friends rubbing in your face that they are sick the next day, they missed pow, and don't even remember the night.

Which option sounds better now?

Party for sure. Maybe you should have a caps lock party with your friends; just yell at each other.

A foot with a base of nothing is meh. It'll keep snowing, get some tang while you can.

ski! people are saying you can ski some other time..what about partying?

Unless this is the last party that you will ever be able to attend, go skiing. God, come on people! This is a site full of people who say skiing is their life and they want to do nothing but ski. But now everyone says party?!

this year might be weak, may want to get your days in while you can. on the other hand, opening days are always shitty. probly should just get your party on and say fuck it until theres actually a base.

look on the bright side: there's always someone worse off than you. instead of partying or skiing, i have to drive 4 or 5 hours to where there is no snow (new york city), from where i live where we got a foot of fresh snow last night. a FOOT in one night, starting from zero. then i have to drive another 2 hours from there to big boulder tomorrow, ski one day, then drive 3 hours back. here's the catch: i'm injured, and all i'll be doing is filming, and they only got a couple inches over there (i think) [/rant] PS. i am actually super stoked to go on that trip, it's with my friends and i really don't have any reason to rant. but whatever, you're really lucky to have those 2 choices.

i'd say party, it sounds like an awesome time. mansion? hell yes. get some p00n and don't drink so much that you can't ski tomorrow. good luck bro

anyway i chose party over ski a little more than i wouldve liked last year, so i think this year ill be leaning a tiny bit more toward skiing when its a 50/50 decision like yours is. the best obviously is partying then forcing yourself to get in the car in the morning, once youre all blazed you forgive yourself

there will always be parties no matter what the weather is, but there wont always be powder. If this is like your first party then your missing out on that and maybe you should go to that but if partying is something you do somewhat often, you can miss one cause there will always be others.

and you sir, do not belong on this site. It's a fucking skiing site. Why do people come here? Because they like to ski, not because they all want to blow off skiing to go party like they do every other weekend year round. So i'm the gayest because I truly love skiing and take every chance i get to do it?

I'm just gonna laugh at you if you ever start on of those threads saying how you dream of being a pro, and you are a passionate skier and you love it more than anything. On this site the idea of skipping skiing oughta to be considered blasphemous.

I dont think the pass will close, as long as you have 4wd you should be fine doin both. not enough snow to cause avy danger yet. should be a sick weekend though im headed over the pass from ellensburg for break, might have to make a stop!

plus (i know people are going to disagree ) getting laid (by attractive women) takes priority over skiing.

Change tha party to your cabin. Tha hoes will get snowed in and then they have to give it up. You can also go skiing when you please then. Hell, get tha hoes and have your own party.

i always ski before partying, even in college. but granted, that does sound like a sick party, soooo. go and have fun, not too wasted, dip out early so you can have time to roll if the roads are shit. oh yaa and to the guy that said opening day sucks, ive skied waist deep on opening day. it was that deep all day
