when oil prices started dropping, it took weeks/months for the effects to trickle into gas prices.  now over the past week the price of oil has gone up a few dollars a barrel and gas prices jump 30 cents today?  fucking stupid.

It makes perfect sense. When the price of oil goes up then they must raise the prices at the pumps so that they will continue to make money. When the price of oil drops, they reap the benefits and sloowwwly lower it so that they can maximize their profits.

A barrel of oil costs about 1/3 of what it did this summer and we definately aren't paying 1/3 of what we were this summer

maybe in YOUR area it jumped.... but i filled up for 1.47... 


its a complex market.


lets see if NS can figure this one out. if oil is trading at roughly a third of what it was over the summer why havent airline fares dropped by an equal amount?  o and yes gas has dropped a shit ton, i was paying 4$ over the summer and it has dropped to 1.47...

The poor aren't getting poorer, they just aren't accumulating wealth at the same rate that already wealthy people are.  And also, poor people LOVE low gas prices.  You want to hurt poor people, charge them a lot for energy.
