i have a facebook but i only use it for the messaging and events. i know some people who are literally addicted to it though, shit's fucked.
never had a myspace though.

you have NS others got facebook/myspace i guess, i have facebook but i'm almost never on just check notifications and thats it.

I refused to give in for years... until a month ago.  I agree that its a waste of time, but since I moved to a different school, its one of the best ways to stay in touch.  Newschoolers is definately my site of choice though.

It just seems like a waste of time to me.  Why have more friends than you can reasonably keep contact with?
