ive been working on this take home graded hw for 3 hours and cant figure out this question

The planet Mars requires 2.35 years to orbit the sun, which has a mass of 2x10^30 kg, in an almost circular trajectory.
Find the radius of the orbit of Mars as it circles the sun. The gravitational constant is 6.672x10^-11
Answer in units of m/s

if anyone knows the formula or how to do it ++++k

Write down the given information:

Change in Time = 2.35 years
Mass of the sun


And you need to find the radius, so I'm guessing you do the Gravitational Force equation:

Fg = G x m1 + m2/r^2

rearrange the equation to isolate R and voila!


and the mass of mars can generally be found on the inside back cover of the book, or somewhere in the index.

The conceptual aspects of it aren't that difficult, but it's hard to do the calculations when the highest math class I've finished is Algebra.

if u live in ny and are planneing on taking the regents. u can blow off this chapter cause its not on the regents. if ur not from ny just cheat off of a friend, thats what im going to do first period

I love ap physics ! but really, with all the the others thats gonna be one hell of a schedule. I'm in regular calc, ap english and ap enviro science this year. english is just... stupidly time consuming, and ap enviro isn't too hard.. at least not in my school, though it has become more difficult.
