Just go at night, from like 7-10 MST (9-12 Eastern) and there will almost always be quite a few people on.

I dont normally go in the chat, but i think lots of people do cause sometimes theres like 70 people logged in but no new posts.

hahahha, well, not sure its the same as in 01, but when i joined back in 05, there was a Quick Chat. it was a little chat box on the homepage, and anyone could talk. i loved it, and wish it would resurrect. a lot of spammers though :(
