What do YOU want to see in Ads

This is just a little focus group question for you guys/gals. Obviously we need to promote our brand, products and riders in our ads but what do you guys like to see in ads so they're less annoying, entertaining and make you happy. We have a good amount of ad space on NS and I'm hoping to get some feedback of what styles, messages etc you like.   Discuss.....

I like to see what happens behind the scenes/real life of the athletes and people who make the skis. It's important to me to know that the people behind the skis are chill and want to help you, and not just sell their products. If you could somehow put that into an advertisement I would like it, as much as I don't like advertising.

I know its going to sound cheesey coming from me but IMO you guys should team up with NS more and do more contests to give away some gear. Don't lump all the prizes into a winner-takes-all-draw though, spread the wealth around a little and get everyone stoked on the brand.

to be honest, the Line ads are the only ones that interest me because they usually lead to an interesting story. I feel like your approach to NS advertising is simply a different way of managing a team update. You make a cool little flash ad with a catchy slogan ("LJ Wins CASH" or whatever) and then I click the ad because I'm interested in seeing the story. Occasionally, I'll poke around and say, "Gee, I wish I knew someone at Line that could hook me up with a pair of skis, JOSH" and then I'll go about my day.


Oh, and just kidding about the "pair of skis" part...

...unless you want to send me a pair because you know I'll rock Line harder than any other member of the media, JOSH! If that's the case then go right ahead!

i think you guys are doing an awesome job with your ads already, but if there could be more of something it would be the above... showing some people involved with the design/production etc.


and by the way its awesome how you guys come right to the center of your sales to ask our opinions and get our feedback, major props keep it up

I really think that when your advertising a ski you can see good clips of it in action and people having fun on it.... you guys already do it so yeah....

I personally believe what if you have some type of promotion in the ad will always attract customers...

EX: Win a pair of LINE skis...35% off...Free Tishirt..Free hoodie..etc..you get my drift...

I am a marketing student..accentives and promotions will always attract the customers..we all want free stuff..or atleast try..these ads will promote people to view the LINESKIS website..and then they will see the fair price of sks..apparel etc..on the site..


i think this will give you more website views, hits which can generate more advertising which = more profit..

Demo day dates! I've been to your website and read all about the skis. I've seen videos of pros doing all kinds of sick stuff with them. I've been to my local store but they don't carry Line or demo twintips or whatever. How else are you going to get me to drop $600 on Elizabeths if I'm still hesitating? Tell me when I can try them out!

I'm pretty sure you can target certain regions through whatever ad network NS is using. Take advantage of that, and see if you can target ads promoting demo day dates at a resort to the region surrounding it.

dont go check out the line website.... I did !

adds like that rock! I love the sarcasm and just funny things get my attention. line is the only add I enjoy and actualy click on because their so damm fresh. its not any bullshit like putting a cute animal or hot girl... no slogans just good advertising and of corse a good product.. line keep on keepin on
