Unblur picture FBI help

dont know where to put this but

does anyone know how to unblur or like re pixilate a picture like how they do in CSI or shit

like if you zoom in on a security camera shot and want to see he guys face better

haha, the best thing about that show is that CSI carries guns and is always getting into all this action, when in reality crime scene investigators don't carry guns with them everywhere, they don't break into people's houses, and their jobs are generally just pretty boring and lame, and only consist of cellecting forensic evidence and then analyzing it in a lab.

im sure the govt has some super magic program written by a computer guenis that lets you zoom in 1000000x, but theres no such thing publicly available. There is a few programs that can unblur a picture a little bit but theyre all expensive, way more than they should be

the  government doesn't have some secret program hahah its impossible if thte data isn't in the pictures they can't make it up or it wouldn't be any accurate at all trust me.  its bullshit. security cameras especially are too shitty quality.

CSI has some truth to it... in that a lot of the ideas are based off real events. A lot of the facts they state about this and that is also true. However, the reality of the equipment they have is stretched. Also, they act like they have every professional you would need on hand, when in real life they would need to seek specialists who usually work at universities to work with entomology, dental, and skeletal forensics. For instance, there are only around 50 working forensic anthropologists in the US. 2 of my professors count as working ones. But then there are like 3 versions of CSI all with forensic anthropologists and then a few on the show bones...Gives a huge false representation of what forensic anthropology really consists of.

So please take what you see on those shows with a grain of salt. Law and Order is way more legit.

its a fucking really hard job too my law teach tells me
you have to be SUPER careful, cause if not the crown's gonna be up in your ass for fucking up the crime scene, like if you do one thing wrong you can be in huge shit, you have to be so careful. not fun if you ask me
but ya more than half the tests on CSI are completely made up and serve no purpose

well i dont care about this pixeling thing, but i would love to have a satellite like the nsa got in "enemy of the state" where you can watch every person on close-up while totally ignoring the fact that the sky is like 100% covered by clouds.

or those laser swords from star wars, i bet you could do crazy stuff with those...

no serious, this thing cant be true, the question is more like: "well, how do i get more information out of any given information without adding more information?" well i dunno, but macgyver does

its pretty hard, but you can try Genuine Fractals. its a program made by Adobe that will enlarge images a lot without pixilated them. it works pretty well for most things

image filters can be reversed. there was a case earlier this year where pedophile had taken photos of himself with little kids, but blurred and put a pinwheel filter over his face in order to hide his identity. some university guys were able to create a 'reverse' effect and remove the filter effect. then the guy got pwnd by the cops.

thats totally different though, the pixels are there they just have been twisted. In this casue you would be adding pixles that arent already there or what ever.

You guys aren't totally right about this. Images can be sharpened in many cases so that there is more visible detail than before. All digital cameras have systematic errors that are created by the technology that they are using and in many cases it is possible to use algorithms to reveal information that cameras record but that is not accurately displayed on the original photo.

open the picture in whatever picture viewer you would like, then press enter...except every time you press enter, you have to say the word "enhance," that way the computer knows what you want it to do with the pic...

the funny thing is that it IS actually possible to take a small image and resize it without it getting pixelated/blurry etc.

its solution involves Fractals. its a mathematical system that involves patters. it looks at an image and resizes it using different patterns taht it sees in the face and uses logical guess to place them where they are supposed to go.
