New idea for profiles and information about ski companies

What if there was some way so that when you entered what skis you use NS could collect that information and put it together for every member so that people could see how big companies are compared to another and how many people are skiing using which companies gear.

There would be a specific way to enter you skis - Company/Model/Size/Year - for instance i would have Salomon/Foil/166/06-07. You guys think this could work, if it would be worth looking into?

Maybe it could be done for outerwear as well if we figured out a solid way to do it.

What do you guys think?

id say that is a pretty good idea, and then NS could probably make some money off of these companies by selling the data they receive from the extra info by users, in turn making NS a much better site

I've put in a proposal for something similar to this which links your gear to the gear guide. The guys are in heavy development so its just on the idea list but its not the first time this has been talked about

I remember bringing this up a year or two ago, so eveyone that had the same skis say would be linked together...so then if someone wanted to know some info on a certain ski you could search the people that had them and shoot them a pm to find out how they liked them, instead of just relying on the reviews which there should be more of
