So I went to Ski Dazzle in LA a couple days ago with my girlfriend (more like snowboard dazzle) and got to try on a fuckton of ski boots, which is awesome because the only local shop that carries boots only has a few pair of Salomons.
Dalbello's were waaaay too narrow, Tecnica's were waaay too tight in the calf and too roomy in the foot, Salomons were a little too roomy and Nordica's just didn't feel right.
So I try on one of the Lange freeride boots, I'm pretty fucking sure they were freeride 130's, but they might have been from the fluid series. Fit like a glove, basically everything fit exactly perfectly except the toe box was maybe a tiny tiny bit small, but i figure it would break out. So on evogear they have the freestyle pro's on outlet in my size, and they have the sick troublemaker graphic, and they're the right price, so I'm inclined to buy them but I noticed it says they are a 'freestyle fit' and it makes it seem like they have a narrower fit.
So my question is will they still fit essentially like the other Lange boots I tried on, or is there a significant difference? The boots I tried on were basically as narrow as I wanted them, any narrower and they would have been uncomfortable. Anyone worn them?
Also do Full Tilt's fit anything like Lange or is there a significant difference? They have these in my size too and apart from looking sick I would feel comfortable buying something with a heat moldable liner just incase they didn't fit quite right. Unfortunately there were none to be seen at the convention or I would have tried some on.
Suggestions?
And yes I would use a bootfitter if I could afford to pay full price for boots.
