Freeskier.com has a video from the roxy team... are you fucking kidding me. How is she a pro. She absolutley blows at skiing. I saw a straight air... a 360 safety grab the most hucked ugly 7 in the world and thr most wide open alpine BC lines ever with no danger to them at all....
Guys are throwing double corks while 9 yr olds have the same skill level as arguably the most well know female pro out there. its fucking ridiculous and reminds me of symms commentary on the US Freeskiing Open for women.

In EVERY other sport, while women can not compete with men.. they do hold their own. Soccer, softball, even basketball... but in skiing the women are an abomination.

Now let me say there are so killer female skiers out there, you guys know who they are but kristi leskinen and sarah burke... find another job.

How can you hate on Sarah Burke. She's basically the Tanner Hall of women's skiing.

Are you 11 years old? Have you not seen that she's won the majority of all women's competitions over the past 8 years? 10s in pipe, 12 at WSI

She was hitting urban rails in the original super park (7 years ago)

If your saying that she shouldn't be pro, your basically saying that women shouldn't be in the sport of skiing at all.

Well Chris, I think you're right to the extent that she's pretty far past her prime. I wouldn't say that she's any worse than she was when she was in her prime though. With girls like Kaya, Michelle, and Keri slaying this year, the whole female game got pushed a lot further than it ever has been in the past which pushed Sarah out of the spotlight so to speak. Look at her as you would look at JF Cusson; the sport wouldn't be where it is today without her, and although she's not the best anymore, she still deserves professional treatment because of her commitment to the sport.

while i agree that this hate towards sarah is not called for and she is sick skier. If you really think about it there is not reason that woman should not be as good as men when it comes to freestyle skiing. Hitting jumps and rails does not require any huge amount of strength, which would give men the advantage, im pretty sure skiers like t-wall arent in incredible phyical shape and he still kills it. so what im saying the only real reason i can think of why girls arent as good is that there pussies (pun intended) i think if a girls had were better at conquring there fear they would be just as good as men

alright im gunna start off and say that she undeniably a babe and is a super cool person and she slays
but womens sports(for the most part) are at a different level because its genetics for men to want to go bigger and be more risky, and for a girl she goes pretty dam big, as u can tell

i think you are right....girls are not at the same level as guys. no girl can compare to tanner or dumont. girls are not doing double cork 12s. they just arnt. not to say they wont someday...but right now they are not.

but that vid is not the best of sarah. i have to defend her there. there is a vid of her throwing a 10 at wsi and i cant get to the website it is on right now.

and kim lamarre slays rails you cannot say she doesn't (ask anyone who was at rails to riches on sat). kaya kills it and so does roz. and ingrid kills back country. girls might not be to the same level as guys all around, but every year they progress more and more and you have to give them credit there.

girls and guys are built differently, they have different centers of gravity, and girls knees blow out more easily then guys. and i am not saying that is an excuse....just something to think about. kaya has been hurt the past 2 seasons....if she wasn't there is no saying where she would be. watch out for her this year....i bet you will be surprised!

yea. just by watching that video, shes shredding wicked bc lines, dropping dece cliffs, hitting like a 60 foot gap, and she has dope style imo. and considering she posts really well in world class comps, throws down when nesesary, and the fact that shes shreds everyday for free. which i dont really think the thread creator dose. or have anywhere close to her incomeor amout of sponsers.

considering shes a girl out of ONTARIO, shes proving her self, and in terms of womens skiing, she is on top.

do a 10 in the pipe and come back to me, tool. or do a 12 off a jump. her slope skills may not be like they used to, where should was winning without question, but she is by far the best pipe skier doing 10s while the rest of the girls struggle with 9s. and those lines were decent, not great, not horrible...

What do you think a sponsored or pro rider is? They are a marketing tool to sell product, its not like I can do a 12 therefore I am pro give me the monies. As long as her sponsors continue to pay her as they feel she is a good advertisement for their product then it does not matter.

it was hilarious commentary on the womens freeskiing open, where girls would skip the entire jump section and hit rails or miss the entire rail secton and hit jumps with the best trick being a 360 and crap like that. If someone could find that commentary it is well worth another read

Third post in this thread, I know. But I finally watched the video. She has not bad style and that 10 wasn't all bad. The landing was pathetic but the rest was fine. She stomped respectable sized cliffs which was a big plus.
