I haven't tried the Jester's, but I have Dukes, and I prefer my FKS185's to the Dukes. It seems the Jesters put you higher off the ski and that the FKS do, and I prefer to be as close to the ski as possible. It also helps I perfected my FKS break bending skills. I am also pretty big, being 6'6" 220 or so, so I adore the all metal housing and the high din of the FKS185s. But both are sick. Both have a low ramp angle I believe. I have never pre-released from my FKS's and only once from the Dukes when I didn't think I should have. I would personally go with the 185's, but both will be kick ass.

i spoke to charley ager this summer and he talked a little about how small in lengt the back binding are on fks, pivot and so on. so u will get alot more flex on the tail than u would with fore example px jib.

I don't think those are bindings you can really compare. Dukes are for touring, FKS are not.
What kind if skis are you putting them on.
I'd say Jesters are fine. I have them on my Bacons and Donner Party's and I've never had a problem.
FKS speak for themselves though...

I wasn't trying to compare the two, I was just comparing the Jester v. the FKS using my experience with the Duke (assuming they are the same binding in terms of releasing and durability right?) because I haven't actually skied with the Jester.
But you are right, the ski you are putting them on makes a difference too.

i think if i took a weak pistol and shot my fks they wouldn't break, they're solid as fuck. if you're looking for durability, fks are totally the way to go

I think some pro's have been using it for 2 years at least. Assuming they have the same binding that is released for retail.

even if the jesters do "prove" themselves, which they probably have, they're still half the binding the fks are. no other binding has the elastic travel, cleanness of release, overall safety and durability built into one package. personally, i'll follow everyone else's lead and built up a stockhouse of them, because i'd rather not ski anything else.

FKS are stronger & shorter footprint.
Jesters have less ramp and can get wide brakes easy.
If they cost the same, get FKS. Otherwise take your pick.
