Do resorts put any lubricant on rails?

I am under the impression that they DO NOT but my freinds that kinda blow are always like " man that was so sticky the park crew here at keystone blows they like forgot to wax this shit this morning" then i say "yo dawg you blow deez (while i point towards my crotch) nutz at rails go watch t-wall on youtube"

As far as I know they dont wax rails, it would be pretty pointless i think. It has alot to do with conditions on the mountain (humidity, temp etc) and some boxes and rails are just sticker than others from slightly different materials

ya dude most resorts lube up their rails, there's been some lawsuits in the past due to people hurting themselves on sticky rails so they have to keep them nice and lubed up.

the park that i work in dose not.
i dont know of any resorts that do to be totally honest with you.
the type of paint that you use is a huge factor tho, the stuff we use only gets sticky when its over +5 celcius

I know for a fact that Wachusett Mountain puts extra rust on their rails first thing every morning.

I do not put any kind of lubricant on any of my rails, and do not know of any resort that does.....

yeah man my mountain has a little hut next to the park that says "park Crew ONly" on the door, and one time i snuck in there and there were like 4 boxes full of ky tubes

On our park team in the uk we have used lube on rails that are sticky, and have been made by noobs, like burton, who decided to spray the metal rideable bit silver, with what seemed to be spray paint, and it wasnt an even coat.

We're not talking ky lube here,

it's like wd40 but not, and a build up of that type of lube is pretty much impossible, and even if it does build it its stil lube and will be slidey.

Snow works a treat for getting the little ice grains off that make things sticky too, its also pretty good for rust if you use and ice block.

my snowboard friends always seem to carry some wax with them for unknown reasons, so if anything gets sticky, we use that

also helps with log rails and stuff
