180 Rubies for me?

I know they're too short, but I need new skis and am a little low on cash, I can pick these up in good condish for a decent price.

I'm 6'2", 170 pounds. Ski purely westcoast. these will be my pow sticks for a trip, probably to nelson/prince george for a week or so living in the backcountry. ill also ski a fair amount of whistler and the surrounding region. I'd like something really fun for messing around on and jibbing that can also hold its own riding some hard big mountain stuff. Ill be touring with them, though more as a means to get to my destination than multi-day long stuff. anyone know how they handle riding switch? I've heard a lot of really good things about them forward, but have heard no discussion of their switch ability.

the other ski I was thinking of would be a pair of new Bibby Pros. Still a bit on the short side for me at 186cm, but it's tough to find a 190cm range ski that has the other characteristics that I want. Also, for jibbing and tighter buttery stuff, I think a little under 190cm might not be too bad, though bigger is nicer for big booter hits and cliffs.

I'm not even sure they're full twins. I think it's just a slightly raised tail. 180 might be too short though. Depends on what you're used to.

iv seen rubys in tahoe and they look super sick. real real light and good dimentions.

they seemed a fine size for me 5'11"

bibbys were also sick probably even more sick and better for a quiver

i would go bibbys if i were you, except you said you were touring and idk if you can really skin on rockers

im not too concerned about touring with rocker... i would ideally like a rockered ski. the issue is that I can get the rubies for like $325 and bibbys would cost me over $200 more. i'd never really considered the ruby, but now that i look at the specs and reviews they seem like a great ski to have. If they won't be atrociously short, Ill probably get them. I will be getting another pair or more later in the season, the issue is that all I have right now is a pair of centred 176cm AR5s, which I definitely find too short. I need something to get me through January. That said though, if I'm going to spend the money, it might as well be on a pair of skis that I can keep riding, even once my quiver is expanded.

if you want something that will last when you quiver expands then FOR SURE go bibbys.
