Replying to Shaving down boots?

I've been getting this weird pressure point this year with my rampage boot. It's hurting the inside part of my foot closer to my heel(where the arch is). I am really thinking about shaving where the arch is for your foot on the boot down a little bit to hopefully get rid of this pressure point. I would like to just take it to a shop and see what they can do about it, but there are no shops in my area that do boot work. Do you guys think this is a good idea to do?
