so i always do this i was told along time ago that you are supposed to always leave your boots buckled when not wearing them. What does this actually do?
When you leave ur boots undone... and leave em around the house.... the shell will expand......... over time.......................... and fuk u up in the long run
When u buckle them up.... it keeps the shape from expanding.............
Definatly keep ur boots done up .................... It will save ur ass in the long run
I've always thought that too. the only reason i can come up with is that they are really hard to buckle up at first and i have to take a couple runs to get them where i want them when i dont buckle them
if you just pull your foot out and leave them it messes up the plastic, just pop the tongue back into place and do 1 or 2 of the buckles loose, no need to go insane but it's a good idea to buckle them after using them
It used to be that boots were molded flat, thus leaving them unbuckled would allow them to return to that flat state. Nowadays, they are stopping this and molding in the shape of the flap, but most boots are still made this way.
fuck, im worse than all of you, i take them off and leave them in the same spot and same way as they were until i go skiing the next day. ive done this for 3 years on one pair of my boots. how bad is this?
it depends on the quality of the plastic on how bad theyll deform. a shitty quality plastic like they use in low end boots (called mafrin) wont hold its shape anywhere near as well (or is it easy to work on) so its even more crucial to buckle that up
