Replying to Is there some creative law thing?

k so long story short this kid in class today was all mad cause someone took some edit of him skateboarding, downloaded it and uploaded it on there account and he found it. we dont know this person but anyway.

he was asking me if there was something against that, and i always thought it was if you put it on the internet unless youve bought copyright or something well then you put it on the internet what do you expect.

but someone else said theres some creative commons license or something like that and he has a right to the video. also the guy who uploaded it was messeging him saying hes not gonna take it off cause the traffic he is getting from it is making him money. (this is why im wondering now cause "aparently" hes making profit off it)

just curious have no clue if something like that exists, even if the person isnt making a profit off it is there some creative copyright type thing?
