ok so my bf was sweating bullets when he told me he was going riding with his guy friends in the desert a week ago, and told him go! have fun!

he was stunned.



i mean really, his buds were there before me, and he hasnt seen them in a few years. why on earth does he need my permission to go anywhere at all?

so, i kissed him goodbye and have fun, and i missed his phoine call, but in the message he asked me to cal him back, and i did and i left a message, and was like have fun! and such. i didnt call him at all the rest of his weekend. and i was super suprised he cae home early.

so the point of this thread

i am currently slightly curious....was it a bad thing i didnt call him aside from calling him back? or should have i been more doting?

im kinda curious what the general concensus is on a topic like this, so just wondering

i dont see a problem with it. if hes out having friends. the last thing i would want would be a pesky gf to keep calling and bugging me. but depending on how long he was gone it probly woulda bee nice to hit him up at least once and talk for a few

he may have been surprised that you didn't ask to go with him, or simply that you even let him go, there are a lot of girls out there who will whine about their man going somewhere even if they haven't made any prior commitments. i've had it happen to me before "oh but i was hoping we could go to the mall tomorrow and maybe see a movie or something?" trying to make me feel guilty for not reading her mind.

props on you for that. but in future i would suggest you ask him whether you can join him or who will be there, stuff like that so he at least feels like you are taking an interest.

frankly i would be quite surprised if a gf just said "yeah sure, go for 8 days" and then never called
i would probably get the sense she was mad at me for leaving and then come home early because i felt bad....
just make sure you let him know you were cool with him going and it should be fine

It's pretty gay that an awesome gesture on your part would probably be misinterpreted by most guys as passive-aggressive and sarcastic, simply because so many guys have been fucked over by so many bitches who can't learn to be straightforward.

ha thanks guys, your helping my curiousity to quell itself, ha. oh and i did ask him why he came home early, and he said it was cause he felit like it. i was shcked hahaha

I would love it if my GF let me go on a trip for 8 days with the boys, and knowing her she most likely would. Although we usually talk every day anyways, so there's no problem checking in.

communication is key here, and its awesome that you're not the type to start accusing him of things, or being jealous or whatever and hiding it like some girls do. next time make sure he knows it's totally cool with you, and obviously he should make sure too.. this isn't just you hahaha.
