I will still be at Alpine this year. I will build the sickest jumps. IF it ever snows.
Someone please make it SNOW. I might have to switch over and build skateparks if this keeps up.
We will be building big jumps on roo and nick's again this year. The biggest will probably be around 60'. The days of building a public 90'er, I think are over. Lawsuits that involve terrain park jumps are still unresolved.
I plan to build roo a little different this year. I'm going to try to get them all step-over style with the longest takeoffs and landings possible. Instead of building five step downs at 25-50'ers, it will be a four pack of 40-50'ers. Quality over quantity. Nick's will be the big dog's and we'll see what we can do in spring. I'd like to maybe try something else but that will be a secret for now.
I assure you that as long as I'm at Alpine, I will try to build the best jumps I can. I love to jump and that's where my passion is in building park. Rails are cool, but jumps are better (IMO).
We will also be trying to make every rail set-up better than we've done in the past. Creative set-ups with more options. More tranny on the side and landing. I got a jib board this year, so I'm going to try to spend more time riding and working on the jibs.
NZ was sick this year. It was they're biggest snow year in 15 or 20 years. It wasn't the best for building park because it didn't stop snowing but I got some awesome days riding. If you ever go down check out the Club Fields of Canterbury and Methven Heli. Some of the best riding on the planet if you get it right.
