hey im lookin to buy some crash pads but nobody i know uses them. do they work well? are they comfortable? what kinds are good? im looking for mostly hip protection cause i have bony hips. thanks for the help!
I dont use crash pads for skiing but i do for racing dh. As far as slim fitting non bulky protection goes i would have to say 661 or dianese. It is fairly expensive but you get what you pay for.
i wear the soft 661 short things under my board shorts. Don't really notice them after the first day. Gets slightly hot on warm days.
I had a bad groin rippage injury or something 2 seasons ago and everytime i'd fall even slightly on my butt/hip it would retair and i wouldn't be able to walk for a 3-4 days. Started wearing these to help let that heal and haven't had it since... yayyyyyy
