Biggie vs Lil Wayne

Which one do you think is better overall?

I'd have to say biggie, I was surprised to find out that most of my friends picked wayne though, in my opinion biggie is on a whole another level.

All I asked was for your fucking opinion, so instead of putting it off and asking if I'm serious, why don't you just put down who you like better? Holy shit is that too much for me to ask? People have different tastes in music you know.

im gonna have to go with biggie. just on the fact that HE came up with all HIS lyrics and didnt/couldnt bite anyone else. il admit wayne is good, catchy, and fun to shred to but idk, hands down biggie wins it tho. biggie and tupac were the beginning of mainstream rap. you cant really beat that.

im sorry but Lil Wayne doesnt deserve all the hype.  Done get me wrong, he is real sick and i listen to a lot of his music but he is in no way close to the same level of biggie or pac or Nas or Az orany of these guys.

Alright now that everyone thinks that this thread is shitty do this for me, ask your friends who aren't on NS or don't ski what they think, and I guarantee you'll hear most votes for Lil Wayne, just because he's more now and not all that hyped in todays society, but he is in the ski world.

And for those saying I'm disrespecting biggie, if you didn't notice, I chose biggie... And in my mind, they don't NEARLY compare, and like I said, Biggie is on a whole another level. So I don't see how I'm showing disrespect.

Word, but Wayne MIGHT have better background on SOME of his songs...its a possibility...

I have a thing against Wayne, I don't know why.  Maybe its because the kids in the rich town where I live love him and have no idea what makes "good" rap.  That's probably it.  Either way, yes Biggie, no Wayne, never Wayne. 

I think unless its someone awful, I'd never choose Wayne...

not to own you even worse homie.... but your wrong there too. along with pac biggie gets the most love of any rapper dead or alive in popular society. their respective mothers on stage together at major awards show, a shout out in any song underground or mainstream coast to coast, it goes on and on. and while MTV continues to spoon feed wayne to 16 year old JAPs from my hometown, even they had this to say.

2.Pac
3. Biggie
4-10 did not contain Lil Wayne.

So while there may be a firestorm of controversy around numbers 1-10 (although there is not much arguing over biggie and pac) wayne is not on the list. no matter how many times he tells rolling stone that hes better compared to biggie and pac. saying that does not equal truth.

Ire you're coming from. But the general idea of this thread was for me to see if there was a difference between what skiers on NS thought, and what the general public in my area (also known as my close friends who happen to not ski) thought, and obviously it shows that NS likes biggie more and that they like wayne more. Like everyone has stated above, I ABSOLUTELY choose Biggie over wayne ANYDAY! I don't know why you are all saying I wouldn't when I most definitely would. And even I see putting them into the same category as disrespectful, but there's only one way to find out peoples' opinions, and this is how.

So please, refrain from hating on me because I'm in the same boat as all of you, rather hate on the 17 year old mainstream kids, most of you are putting words into my mouth.

sorry man, i didnt mean to continue the hate on you. what did you think was going to happen comparing biggie to wayne. i think a lot of us feel so strongly about it because we hate lil wayne more than aids. or at least i do.

either or if you had more respect for biggie then you would have said... "hey my uneducated friends think that lil wayne is on the same and/or better level than biggie. what should i tell them so that they know they're wrong?"
