Pro-tec Hip short sizing

I had a quick question about sizing of the pro-tec hip shorts.
The sizing chart says a Small is 29-31in waist
The medium is a 32-34in waist

Does anyone know how true these sizes are? My waist is about a 31. And i want them to fit tight/well as this isin't something i want to sag, thats for snowpants.

Also anyone have any pros/cons of these shorts compared to others?

the small would probably be good, but you might outgrow them.  the medium will give you more protection(they are bigger..), thought they might not be as comfortable and they will last you longer.  it all comes down to your personal preference.  Add an inch to those sizes and it will probably be more accurate.  but you have to make the decision.  I would go with the smalls myself, because 50 dollars isn't alot to pay when you are looking at a bruised tail bone and months of conditioning...

right on, yeah im done growing unless i get fat as shit haha i'll probably get the small as they can always stretch. im completely over landing on my hip, not even hard, off some little ass rail or box and having a bruised hip for a week, but then i fall on it again and it continues over and over and over.

yeah.
my brother bruised his tail bone a few seasons ago.  He couldn't walk the next morning.  Sucks because he was the star of the basketball team.  coach was realllly pissed.  it's worth being protected
