Marcus you can just come watch! It's the final leg of the Canadian Rally Championship so I was partly kidding about you coming to race... I wouldn't race that circuit. I drive the race route almost every week and it's scary enough going 60 let alone 100. A few of those pics were close calls though, I really should not have been so close at the one corner (the shots where they are coming straight at me). But anyway, haven't you ever seen Patrick Richard's epic roll-over, where he proceeds to get out of the car, flip it back over, and win the race?
Sorry to take the thread to another direction! Back to posting pics of our own cars...
sorry, but you don't fuck with the suspension geometry of that car by lowering it like some goober. those cars sound nice, hope you purchased it after lot depreciation.
thats nice, i don't care if you were being facetious. i just got the internet sarcasm meter last week. still waiting for my facetious meter add on. try being funnier next time.
My friends subi forester is that exact model and color, but it has a small custom lift, an offroad lighter up top, a winch, and a wrx motor in it. It's actually suprisingly capable offroad
I would imagine it gets hung up somewhat easily though does it not? There can't be much clearance on one of those. Also, what's the gearing like? WRX motor would be pretty ill, but does it have a proper low range? Either way suby's are sick and the forester so practical too.
It obviously can't go over some of the larger stuff that some bigger trucks and SUVs can go over, but for it's size it's pretty good. It's done river crossings with water up to it's doors. And I'm not sure if he changed the gearing on the wrx engine, I'm pretty sure he kept the same tranny that was on the forester, he wrecked his wrx and only the motor was good so he found a relatively inexpensive forester and dropped it in. Before he did the lift and stuff he made some money racing rivers cuz nobody realized what engine henhad under the hood, but they soon caught on so he stopped.
Thanks man I love it! So fun! 5 speed manual! Pretty good in deep mud and shit. Haven't had it too long but it's fun as hell. definitely some gopro rally footage will come soon.
