no offense to your car, but i have a deep deep hatred for foresters, mostly just cause im in vermont and every fucking person has one and they all seem to suck cock at driving.
none taken, its the exact same way in colorado.
what most people dont realize is that the xt's are the exact same thing as the wrx, just no one mods them. i thought i would give it a try. now i just need 5 grand
do you have problems with those wheels collecting sand and shit in the winter?? i do and it makes it vibrate sooooo bad i have to clean the inside of my wheels every other day!
Oh I know there's no way in hell I'm getting good mileage when I'm spewing smoke.. I mean it is literally throwing away fuel. and of course it's not healthy for the engine to get more fuel and air than designed. If you buy an engine designed for 250ftlbs and you intercool it and put a a turbo on it and do this that etc and are running 500ftlbs then the life will be cut in half.
on the VE44 powered cummins "turning up" the fuel pump does in fact give you more mileage and a hell of a lot more power. Before my pump was turned up my peak output was at around 1800 rpms at 168hp/466 ftlbs and I was getting around 21 mpg on the hwy. now after my pumps been cranked to the max (including a timing bump and 3200 rpm governor spring) and along with a few intake mods my peak output is at 2200 rpms at 283hp/675ftlbs and I'm getting 24 mpg hwy. torque curve moved and gave me my power at cruising speed. My favorite part about it was all I needed was a couple screwdrivers and a spring.
Yes when I stomp on it and blow hella smoke I'm not going to get 24 mpg and my egt's also skyrocket. My egt argument was modding in the sense of getting as much air in and out as possible. That's where I started out and then realized I could nearly double the torque with the turn of a screw and i couldn't help myself. Keeping RPM's up and enough boost/airflow to keep smoke down keeps my egt's reasonable and then every ounce of fuel is exiting as burned instead of black. Fuel mileage is entirely determined by you're right foot until you get bigger injectors or anything the creates more fuel all the time.
haha not yet. Still need to sell a ton of skis (hint hint). I just needed a car.....and am a sucker who is going to be broke thanks to his car payments for the next few years!
yea its so damn annoying i would put the car on the jack and take each wheel off and take like a brush and scrub the sand and shit out and then the ski rack has so much wind noise
