you dropping it for performance or for looks? if it's mostly for looks I'd save your money and just buy some springs. But yeah if you're going more for pure performance while also getting a drop coilovers would be worth it.

it will ruin it. stock suspension on lowered springs rides like shit anyway.

but seriously, a car like that, with wheels like that? get coilovers. you have the $$, i know you do. lower it 2 or more.

stoked to see people repping rumble crew! i admin for um!

anyway...on to my car in the process of being vinyl wrapped matte military green. im doing all the work myself (wrap tech at queen of wraps). so far all thats done is the front bumper, mirrors, fenders, and evo mask. hood/roof will be matte camo with a swatch color matched to the rest of the green, clear hood scoop window with wrapped piping under the hood. I've got a lot of stuff happening with this car in the coming months. Just started a new job that pays handsomely, so I've been planning on doing a rear sedan fender swap, then Karlton fenders all around, coils, and 18x10 white Work XD9's.

Ah I want to put money into my vw but have over 160k on the motor. Still ive driven it 15k without a problem.

For you vw guys, when it rains my car makes a squeeking noise from the fron right and you can feel the engine lose a little power. Then it goes away and comes back intermittently. Once it even caused my battery light to breifly come on (1-2 seconds). What could this be? Only happens when it rains and I dont have the black plastic rub plate.

Also what are some relatively cheap (under 500) mods I could do to give it a little more umpf?

i feel the same way. and over the pond all the r's have been manual, theres a bmw 1 series hatch, and of course the rs4/rs6 and ALL THE FUCKING COOL CARS WHAT THE FUCK EUROPE

yeah that 1 series hatch is a good lookin car, it'd sell well here too.
my goal is to be able to afford an rs4 some day. drivin the kids to the ski hill in my 400+hp wagon, fuck yeah. it's just too bad purchasing one isn't doable

i want an rs4 so bad, avant would be tight, but i would be more than happy with an 07 sedan. i looked into the costs/steps needed to bring one over, at least 15 years old (if it is eligible to be imported), has to be "cleaned" and a whole bunch of other stuff, huge amount of money.

but a supercharged rs4 sedan pushing 500hp? done and done

what model vw? regardless of turbo or not you could do air intake around 300, give you between 12-16 horse power + around same torque gain. if turbo, you could do a downpipe still around 300 pretty much same horsepower gains as listed above. not sure about how much it would cost as its not an option for me but you could do a stage 1/ 2 ECU tune which would make you the most amount of horsepower/ torque. if your looking for handling though, go for a rear sway bar, stiffen the back up will make a big difference in the cornering about 250-300.

well fuck utah drivers. sure, go ahead and slam on your brakes to make a turn without a turn signal on a main street. wrap was only half done too. repair costs would be more than the cars worth, and my insurance talked my dad into just liability insurance so they arent covering shit. stripping it down and selling all the parts, then off to the junkyard with it :( if anybody wants some N/A subaru parts for cheap hit me up!

going to look at an e34 535i tomorrow, maybe its time for bags. gonna go oem+ on the next car whatever it may be, also considering a 2002....
