Replying to Camcorder Help

Im using a Canon ZR100 for my digital video project. I recorded everything i wanted and was able to successfully play it back on the camera. Now for some reason when i play the video back or try to capture it on final cut, it shows that it is reading the tape but the screen stays blue. I tried the tape in a different Canon ZR100 and it worked just fine. If anyone has ideas on what could be wrong please help cause i will have to pay the school for repairs if it is broken. Oh and all i did was carry it to school. It was kept in a normal room in a bag and it wasnt dropped or anything.
