09 Armada JJ's

Quick question for someone who has riden or knows a lot about the new 2009 Armada JJ's (JP vs. Julien)

Out of all the reviews i have seen, they say it is a great all around ski for Backcountry and even Groomers. I was wondering whether....

1) Are they good to take in the park at all?

2) Good and light enough to do smooth spins easily?

and,

3) If it would be fine if i rode rails on them (basically would the shape of the ski and it's edges be bad for sliding rails)

I know the JJ's are pretty much meant for backcountry but i do like hitting up the park every once in a while and would like to know the answers to the following questions. If someone could get back to me on that it would be most appreciated and i thank you for taking the time to read and respond to this post.

JJ uses Armada's ultralite core made for pow float and the narrower edges compared to their tougher big edged park models like AR6.  It may a big ouch if u crush and edge....

I have the new JJs but haven't had the chance to ski them yet. Yes they are super light. I'm sure you could take them off jumps in the park: they are stiff underfoot but buttery in the rockered tips and tails. I wouldn't do rails if i were you unless you have money because the 1.7mm edge used wouldn't hold up too well compared to the 2.2mm all the way up to 3.5mm edges used by the park skis of different brands.

I've got this year's JJs mounted up with Marker Barons.
So far, I've used them in powder, heavy wet snow, and a little bit of hardpack.
They absolutely dominate powder. I've never had a ski float so well in pow, but then again, i've never had a pow ski.
They're SUPER light.
I wouldn't slide rails with them if I were you, but if you've got the money to go through edges on skis, have at it. They spin pretty nicely, I've only thrown a few 3's and 180's with them thus far. They ride switch really well too, so fat and stable. I haven't really written a review for them yet, because I want to ski on them a little more in other types of snow.

just got mine today and they look really small..the 185's...hopefully they dont ski small

They should be easy to spin on because the early taper would give you a reduced swingweight, not sure about rails though. I would just get some shit skis for rails.

Oh yeah, my JJ's get here tomorrow. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet.
